Eldora Children's Center
Staff Mission
Our team of dedicated early childhood professionals is committed to meeting each child’s individual needs, creating a positive and nurturing environment, and building strong partnerships with families. All staff members are certified in CPR and First Aid, Universal Precautions, Mandatory Reporting, and have completed 13 hours of "Essentials in Child Care" training. Each year, they also complete at least 10 hours of ongoing professional development, including early childhood-specific courses, as part of Iowa’s Quality for Kids (IQ4K) initiative. Our 3 Year Old Preschool Program teachers receive the same foundational trainings along with additional qualifications, including a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential.
Kendra Kendall

I grew up in Eldora and graduated from South Hardin in 2011. I have a son, Carter, who was born in 2012. We enjoy reading together, swimming, kayaking, camping, and exploring state and national parks! I graduated with a degree in Early Childhood Education in 2014. Also in 2014 I began working at Eldora Children’s Center where I have held many different roles. In 2018 I began my role as Director. I am beyond thankful and proud to provide this service to the families of our wonderful community.
Raychyl Wilson
Infants (0-24 months)
I grew up in Liscomb, IA and graduated from BCLUW in 2010. My husband and I have lived in the Eldora area since 2012. We have 4 kiddos Payton, Westlyn, Rhett, and Hazel. Coffee is definitely the way to my heart. When I was old enough, I loved babysitting/hanging out with my younger cousins. I have worked at the center since 2021.

Sarah Williams
Toddlers (2 year olds)
My family and I moved to Eldora early 2022 from Peoria, IL. I have two children: Danny and Aura. We enjoy being outside and spending time together. I started at the center in 2023.
Kayleigh Youngman
Preschoolers (3 year olds)
I live in Eldora and have my whole life. I married my husband Matt in 2017. Together we have four kids; Lexi, Easton, Croix, and Sage. We enjoy all things outdoors from fishing and hunting to going on walks and gardening. I am excited for our new adventure! I started at the center in 2020.
Terry Weatherly

Before moving to Eldora, I lived in Maryland. I’ve always been involved in childcare in one fashion or another. I started babysitting as a teenager then opened my own in home daycare while my children were little. As they grew, I took a position as a nanny. I am here to support you in any way you need me to. I started at the center in 2009.
Marissa Stocks
All Ages
Some may know me as Marissa Hanson. I graduated in 2005. I was born and raised here in Eldora. I have 3 beautiful children; Carter, Ryker, and Karleigh. I went to college for cosmetology and had my own salon in New Providence. Being able to work and be with my children has always been a dream. Being able to see them and all of the other kids grow has been amazing. I always say there is a purpose in life and I think one of mine is to be around children to help them grow into great adults. I started at the center late 2022.
Thais Nunez

Hello, my name is Thais (tie-ese) Nuñez, also known as Miss T. I am from Puerto Rico. I have been living in the Iowa Falls/Alden area since I was about 9 years of age. I have been working at ECC since August 2024. I have loved making memories and helping kids grow has been truly a wonderful experience.
Hola, me llamo Thais (tie-ese) Nuñez, pero muchos me conocen como Miss T. Soy de Puerto Rico. Vivo en el área de Iowa Falls/Alden desde que tenía 9 años. Trabajo en ECC desde agosto de 2024. Me ha encantado hacer recuerdos y ayudar a los niños a crecer; ha sido una experiencia súper bonita.
Lylah Mae Risse
School Agers (Kindergarten-5th)
Hi, my name is Lylah Mae. I've just recently joined the Eldora Children's Center in January 2025. I have really enjoyed working at ECC because I get to make memories with amazing kids.
I love fishing, hanging out with friends and family, and playing volleyball. I'm very involved in school. I'm in FFA, FCCLA, yearbook committee, and Helping Hands.
I look forward to continuing to learn more about taking care of children and important life skills at ECC!!!
