Eldora Children’s Center is a state-licensed, nonprofit child care center in Eldora, Iowa. Since opening in 2006, we’ve proudly served over 400 families from 9 different communities—and we currently care for 70 children from 40 families each year.

In June 2025, we began a major chapter in our story: relocating to our new, permanent home at 1025 11th Avenue, the former ENP Tiger Pack facility. This move was made possible by strong community support and the shared vision of ECC and the ENP School District, which needed our former space for district expansion.

We are excited to now own our building we've completed major interior transformations making it into a modern, safe, and inspiring environment for children, families, and staff. Major renovation milestones have already been achieved—but there's still work ahead.

💚 Why it Matters

 

​​​​​​Hardin County is considered a child care desert, with 62% fewer child care programs in 2023 than in 2018 (Child Care Resource & Referral). Projects like ours ensure families can access quality care - and help retain young families, support working parents, and grow the local workforce.

We've come so far - but to fully complete our vision, we need continued community support through donations, sponsorships, and partnerships.
